مكنون قرآن كريم – Maknun
“Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik” (Here I am, O Allah, at Your service) is the sacred declaration recited by pilgrims during the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages. It signifies complete submission, answering Allah’s call, and dedicating all praise, sovereignty, and grace to Him alone.
The Full Talbiyah
The complete invocation, known as the Talbiyah, is recited repeatedly throughout the pilgrimage:
Arabic:لَبَّيْكَ ٱللَّٰهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ ٱلْحَمْدَ وَٱلنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَٱلْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ
Transliteration:Labbayka llāhumma labbayk, labbayka lā sharīka laka labbayk, inna l-ḥamda wa n-niʿmata, laka wa l-mulk, lā sharīka lak.
English Translation:”Here I am at Your service, O Allah, here I am. Here I am at Your service, You have no partner, here I am. Truly, all praise, favor, and sovereignty are Yours. You have no partner.”
Key Meanings and Significance
Unconditional Surrender: It is a continuous declaration of obedience and ongoing service to Allah.
Declaration of Tawhid: The phrase “lā sharīka laka” firmly establishes the absolute oneness of Allah, rejecting any partners or associates.
Spiritual Cleansing: It helps pilgrims rid themselves of worldly distractions and focus entirely on the spiritual journey.
