- تتقاضى النساء 77 سنتا لقاء كل دولار يتقاضاه الرجال لقاء عمل متكافئ القيمة، وتزداد الفجوة اتساعا بالنسبة للنساء ذوات الأطفال.
- النساء أكثر عرضة للبطالة من الرجال على الصعيد العالمي، مع تفاوتات إقليمية واسعة.
- لا تستفيد من إجازة أمومة مدفوعة الأجر سوى نحو 28 في المئة من النساء العاملات في العالم.
- ما يقرب من 65 في المئة من الأشخاص فوق سن التقاعد الذين بلا معاش منتظم هن من النساء.
- تنجز النساء ما لا يقل عن ضعفي ونصف ضعف الأعمال المنزلية والرعائية غير المدفوعة مقارنة بالرجال.

تسليماً بسلامة المرضى على أنها أولوية صحية عالمية، فقد أعربت جميع الدول الأعضاء في المنظمة البالغ عددها 194 دولة أثناء انعقاد جمعية الصحة العالمية الثانية والسبعين في أيار/ مايو 2019، عن تأييدها لإقامة يوم عالمي لسلامة المرضى يُحتفى به يوم 17 أيلول/ سبتمبر من كل عام. ويصبو اليوم العالمي لسلامة المرضى إلى بلوغ أغراض تتمثل في إذكاء الوعي العام بالمسألة وتوثيق عرى المشاركة فيها وتعزيز فهمها عالمياً وتشجيع التضامن مع المعنيين بها واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة بشأنها على الصعيد العالمي
17 September is World Patient Safety Day
World Patient Safety Day calls for global solidarity and concerted action by all countries and international partners to improve patient safety.
The Day brings together patients, families, caregivers, communities, health workers, health care leaders and policy-makers to show their commitment to patient safety.
The resolution WHA 72.6 ‘Global action on patient safety’ recognizes patient safety as a global health priority and endorses the establishment of World Patient Safety Day to be observed annually on 17 September.

شعار احتفالية 2025: من العلم إلى العمل العالمي
قبل أربعين عاما، التأمت الدول تحت مظلة اتفاقية فيينا لحماية طبقة الأوزون، وأجمعت على تنفيذ تدابير لحفظ البشر والكوكب من الأشعة فوق البنفسجية الضارة المتدفقة عبر طبقة الأوزون المعرّضة للتلف.
وقد تحقق النجاح. فاستنادا إلى ما استجد من معطيات علمية، اُعتمد بروتوكول مونتريال، وبدأ التخلص التدريجي من مركبات الكلوروفلوروكربون – وهي مواد كيميائية مصطنعة استُخدمت في التبريد والمرشات الهباء الجوي وإنتاج الرغوة – مما أتاح لطبقة الأوزون أن تشرع في التعافي.
وفي هذا العام، يُحتفى بـ اليوم الدولي لحفظ طبقة الأوزون تمجيدا لهذا الإنجاز التاريخي وتطلعا إلى أربعين عاما أخرى من العمل. ويظل بروتوكول مونتريال واتفاقية فيينا أداتين رئيستين لرصد مستويات الأوزون والأشعة فوق البنفسجية، وكذلك المواد المستنفدة للأوزون وغيرها من المواد الكيميائية مثل مركبات الكربون الهيدروفلورية (وهي غازات دفيئة) الجاري التخلص التدريجي منها بموجب تعديل كيغالي.
لقد جسدت معاهدات الأوزون بحق مفهوم الانتقال من العلم إلى العمل العالمي، وستظل تجسده لسنوات طوال مقبلة
2025 Theme: From science to global action
Forty years ago, nations came together under the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and agreed to take appropriate measures to protect people and the planet from harmful UV radiation pouring through a potentially damaged ozone layer.
They succeeded. Based on additional scientific information, the Montreal Protocol was adopted and chlorofluorocarbons – man-made chemicals used in refrigeration, aerosol sprays and foam production – started being phased out setting the ozone layer on the road to recovery.
This year, on the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, we celebrate this historic achievement and look forward to another forty years of action. The Montreal Protocol and Vienna Convention remain crucial for monitoring ozone and UV radiation levels, as well as ozone-depleting substances and other chemicals, such as hydrofluorocarbons (greenhouse gases), being phased out under the Kigali Amendment.
The ozone treaties have epitomized the concept of moving from Science to Global Action. And they will do so for many years to come.

A renewed global commitment to democratic values
Democracy draws its strength from people: their voices, their choices, and their participation in shaping their societies. It flourishes when rights are protected, particularly for those most often left behind.
Marking the 18th International Day of Democracy 2025 United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres highlighted “the courage of people everywhere who are shaping their societies through dialogue, participation, and trust” deeming these efforts as more vital than ever “at a time when democracy and the rule of law are under assault from disinformation, division, and shrinking civic space.”
The UN Democracy Fund will host an event on the International Day of Democracy on Monday 15th September at UN Headquarters to highlight how democratic participation can be transformed “From Voice to Action”. In a time of shrinking civic space and rising disinformation, building trust, dialogue, and shared decision-making is more urgent than ever. Rooted in the principle of “We the Peoples,” this event aims to show democracy as a living force for agency, hope, and cooperation.

لأكثر من 45 عاما، وفرّت جمعية الأم تيريزا العون للفقراء والمرضى والأيتام، في حين ابتعثت الجمعية افرادها لجميع انحاء الهند والعالم، بهدف مساعدة الضعفاء والتطوع في دور العجزة والأيتام وبيوت ايوآء المشردين
وتلقت الأم تيريزا عددا من الجوائز والأوسمة، بما في ذلك جائزة نوبل للسلام، اعترافا بجهودها الانسانية وامتنانا بأعمالها الخيرية التي انتشرت في جميع أرجاء العالم
وقد توفيت الأم تيريزا في 5 أيلول/سبتمبر 1997 عن عمر يناهز الـ87 عاما
For over 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity’s expansion, first in India and then in other countries, including hospices and homes for the poorest and homeless. Mother Teresa’s work has been recognized and acclaimed throughout the world and she has received a number of awards and distinctions, including the Nobel Peace Prize. Mother Teresa died on September 5th 1997, at 87 years of age.
In recognition of the role of charity in alleviating humanitarian crises and human suffering within and among nations, as well as of the efforts of charitable organizations and individuals, including the work of Mother Teresa, the General Assembly of the United Nations in its resolution A/RES/67/105 designated the 5th of September, the anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa, as the International Day of Charity.

The Global Sumud Flotilla is a coordinated maritime initiative aimed at breaking the illegal siege on Gaza by sea. It brings together a diverse coalition of international participants, including activists, humanitarians, and doctors from over 44 countries, to deliver humanitarian aid amid the ongoing blockade. The flotilla is part of a broader movement to support Palestinian communities and end the genocide against them. The first convoy departed from Spanish ports on August 31, 2025, and is expected to include additional ships from various locations, with the goal of reaching Gaza and delivering essential supplies to those affected by the siege.

حنظلة بن أبي عامر (غسيل الملائكة) رضي الله عنه
بن أبي عامر بن صيفيّ بن مالك ابن عوف بن مالك بن الأوس بن حارثة الأنصاريّ الأوسيّ، عُرف والده في أيام الجاهلية بالراهب، وهو عمرو، وقد قيل عبد عمرو، كان يذكر البعث ودين الحنيفة، ولكن عندما بُعث بالنبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يستجب لدعوته وعاند الرسول، وخرج من المدينة، وشهد معركة أحد مع قريش، ولكن ابنه حنظلة أسلم، وكان إسلامه حسن، حيث استُشهد في معركة أحد، ويُقال إنّ حنظلة بن أبي عامر وعبد الله بن أبيّ بن سلول استأذنا رسول الله في قتل أبيهما؛ ولكن الرسول الكريم نهاهما عن ذلك.[١]

Handhalah son of Abi Amir ibn Sufayyi’ ibn Malik ibn Awf ibn Malik ibn Al-Aws ibn Haritha Al-Ansari Al-Awsi, his father was known in the days of ignorance as the monk, and his name was Amr, and it was said that he was Abd Amr, he used to mention the resurrection and the religion of Hanifa, but when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent as a messenger, he did not respond to his call and opposed the Messenger, and left Medina, and fought alongside Quraysh in the Battle of Uhud, but his son Handhalah embraced Islam, and his acceptance of Islam was good, as he was martyred in the Battle of Uhud. It is said that Handhalah ibn Abi Amir and Abdullah ibn Ubayy ibn Salul sought permission from the Messenger of Allah to kill their father; however, the noble Messenger forbade them from that.

11th, 12th & 13th of Dhul Hijjah: The Days of Tashriq
واذْكُرُوْا اللّٰهَ فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ مَّعْدُوْدَٰتٍ فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِىْ يَوْمَيْنِ فَلَآ إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلَآ إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ لِمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ وَاتَّقُوْا اللّٰهَ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا أَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ
“And remember Allah on the appointed days. Whoever departs swiftly in two days is not sinful, neither are those who stay behind (till the third), so long as they are mindful (of Allah). And be mindful of Allah, and know that you will be gathered before Him” (2:203).
The three days following the Day of Naḥr (Eid al-Aḍḥā) are the Days of Tashrīq (the 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul Ḥijjah). These days are included among the days of Eid and are from the greatest days of the year. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The greatest day in the sight of Allah is the Day of Naḥr (10th of Dhul Ḥijjah) and then the Day of Qarr (11th of Dhul Ḥijjah)” (Abū Dāwūd).
The 11th is known as the Day of Qarr because the pilgrims reside in Mina for worship (qarra means to reside), whilst Naḥr is in reference to the slaughtering of the animal.
These three days are specified for glorifying Allah, and pelting the Jamarāt.

كذلك كشف أن هذا اليوم وهو يوم النحر، ويسمى يوم الحج الأكبر لاجتماع مجموعة من أعمال الحج فيه، ففيه رمي جمرة العقبة فقط، وفيه الحلق أو التقصير، وفيه النحر للهدي، وفيه الطواف، طواف الحج، فيقوم الحاج في هذا اليوم بهذه الأعمال، وترتيبها على السنة: الرمي، ثم النحر، ثم الحلق، ثم الطواف، ولو قدم منها شيئاً على الآخر فلا حرج، وذلك تيسيراً وتخفيفاً على الحجاج

He also revealed that this day, which is
the Day of Sacrifice, is called the Greater Day of Hajj because a group of Hajj rituals are combined on it. On it, only the stoning of Jamarat al-Aqaba is performed, on it shaving or shortening the hair, on it the sacrifice of the sacrificial animal is performed, and on it is the circumambulation, the circumambulation of Hajj . So the pilgrim performs these rituals on this day, and their order is according to the Sunnah: stoning, then the sacrifice, then shaving, then the circumambulation. If he performs one of them before the other, there is no blame, and this is to make things easier and more convenient for the pilgrims.

The 10th of Dhul Ḥijjah is known as the Day of Naḥr (sacrifice) and Eid al-Aḍhā. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The greatest day in the sight of Allah is the Day of Naḥr and then the Day of Qarr (11th of Dhul Ḥijjah)” (Abū Dāwūd).

Sacrificing an Animal
The Prophet ﷺ sacrificed 63 camels with his own hands (equating the years of his life). He told ʿAlī (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu i.e. Allah be pleased with him) to sacrifice the rest and cook a portion for them to eat. He also told the Companions (radiy Allāhu ʿanhum), “Whoever wishes to take a portion may do so.”
The Prophet ﷺ said, “There is nothing more beloved to Allah that a slave can do on the day of Naḥr than spill blood (i.e. qurbānī). On the Day of Judgement, it will be brought forth with its horns, hair, and hooves. Indeed, the blood will be accepted by Allah even before it spills on the ground, therefore whole-heartedly delight in (performing the sacrifice)” (Tirmidhī).

The literal meaning of the word Arafah is “to know.” Based on Islamic history, it is believed that after being taken out of Jannah i.e. paradise and placed back on Earth, it was Mount Arafah where Prophet Adam (AS) and Hawa (AS) reunited. Mount Arafat is commonly known as Jabal Arafah, which means the “Mountain of Mercy.” Moreover, it is the place where our father Prophet Adam (Peace be upon him) met with our mother Hawa i.e. Eve (Peace be upon her). Moreover, it is the place where Prophet Muhammad PBUH stood and delivered the Last Sermon, also known as Khutbah al-Wada i.e. farewell sermon, to his companions and all Muslim pilgrims who accompanied him on the Hajjat ul-Wada.

DAY OF ARAFAH PART 1
The Day of ʿArafah is the best day of the year. It is the most important day of your life. Make sure it counts! It marks a turning point in your life, a shift from the old you to the new you. The Prophet ﷺ emphasised its centrality saying, “The ḥajj is ʿArafāt! The ḥajj is ʿArafāt! The ḥajj is ʿArafāt!” (Tirmidhi).
The Prophet ﷺ prayed fajr in Minā and after the sun rose, he left for ʿArafah.
Start reciting the takbīrāt of tashrīq once after each farḍ ṣalāh, starting from the Fajr of the 9th of Dhul Ḥijjah till ʿAṣr of the 13th Dhul Ḥijjah:
اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ ، اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلّٰهِ الْحَمْدُ
Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. There is no god worthy of worship but Allah and Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest and all praise is for Allah Alone.

Just after the sun reached its peak, the Prophet ﷺ rose to deliver a message. All eyes and hearts were focused on the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as he said: “Listen to me. 8th of Dhul Hijjah: Day of Tarwiyah
The 8th of Dhul Ḥijjah is called the Day of ‘Tarwiyah’ (i.e. quenching one’s thirst) because the Arabs (pilgrims) would fill their water containers and drink abundantly in preparation for the Day of ʿArafah

At mid-morning on the 8th of Dhul Ḥijjah, the Prophet ﷺ went to Minā, with his Companions (radiy Allāhu ʿanhum). They performed ẓuhr, ʿAṣr, maghrib, ʿishā’ and fajr, shortening the four unit prayers into two. They prayed these at the normal times.
The 8th of Dhul Ḥijjah is known as the Day of Tarwiyah and it is the first day of ḥajj.
Ihram
If you performed ʿumrah as part of ḥajj tamattuʿ and exited the state of iḥrām (by shaving or clipping the hair), you will now enter into iḥrām again on the 8th of Dhul Ḥijjah or earlier. Refer to the iḥrām article.
Talbiyah:
ّلَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكْ لَبَّيْكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكْ إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَمٌلْكْ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكْ (حجاج بيت الله )
Labayka Allahuma labayk labayka laa sharika laka labayk Inna Alhamda wa ni’mata laka wa mulk laa sharika lak
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, there is no partner for You, here I am. Indeed, all praise and grace are Yours; dominion belongs to You, with no partner. (Pilgrims of the House of Allah)

Action: The talbiyah should be recited (aloud by men), beginning when you enter iḥrām on the 8th of Dhul Ḥijjah. Continue reciting it until the 10th of Dhul Ḥijjah, stopping when you begin pelting the Jamarat i.e. the stones al-ʿAqabah location.

Takbeerat Eid Al fitr (End of Ramadhan i.e. Fasting month)
بمناسبة عيد الفطر, ندعوا الله سبحانه وتعالى أن يعيدها علينا وعليكم وعلى الأمة الإسلامية بالأمن والآمان والسلم والسلام والخير والبركات (خاصة فلسطين) ويتقبل منا ومنكم الدعاء والصيام والقيام وصالح الأعمال . واللهم صل وسلم وبارك على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين والتابعيين وتابعيهم بإحسان إلى يوم الدين
On the occasion of the blessed Eid Al fitr (End of Ramadhan i.e. Fasting month), we pray to Allah praise and glory to Him that it will return to us and to you and to the Islamic nation with security, safety, peace, goodness and blessings (especially Palestine) and accept from us and from you our supplications, our fasting, our night prayers, our good deeds and makes us from those who were granted paradise. Oh Allah! peace and blessings on our prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, his followers and those who followed him with righteousness until the day of judgement.

Transliteration

(Sala Allahu ala Muhammed wa salem tasliman katheera).
Meaning
Allah is greater, Allah is greater, Allah is greater. There is no god but Allah. Allah is greater, Allah is greater, All praise be to Allah. Allah is greater and significant. Much of praises be to Allah. Allah prays on Muhammad and gives him a lot of peace.
